Awsome tool. Only problem is in the software it benn given as binary mode. This could simply given as hex mode, actually I'm saying this because I wasted some time on finding the hex mode. This may seem silly but it could happen to some other guy also. Then please include a free version. Then one more thing and it is enable the comparison of 3 or more files and provide option for saving the matched hex values especially in hex mode. This can help people who is working on tryin to get byte patterns of malwares. Thank you.

compare of large binary files Nice, realy nice pice of software! For me great feature was possibility to compare two 600MB binary files, it was something that I couldn't do with couple other tools. I think my company will buy commercial version. One thing would be useful - I didn't find it - ,,go to line'' feature.

Looking for something I cannot find Thanks for the testing time. THe product itself works fine. Unfortunately at this time, this is not what we are looking for exactly. We are looking for something that visually compares word documents, excel spreadsheets and the such (binary files) visually and word for word from two revisions of a document being held in source control. Not likely that this exists but wanted to try what we can find. For now we will continue to use the track changes feature in Office.

Good for PDF comparison involving text only. This is good comparison software. It compares text in PDF files. But one feature I was expecting is, comparing of images also, which are embedded inside the document.

It just doesn`t work for us It does not really do what we need. It does not appear that it will solve our QA needs. I do not see where there is an Adobe Plug-in download for documents that are not related. We are not looking for CHANGES from an original to a modified document. We are looking to compare documents that are created by 2 different companies and that should have the same data. A really useful program! I used this program in some documentation work, and it did a great job. One great wish would be if it also compared drawings and such in the pdf document, but I understand that this is hard to achieve. Overall, a great program!

it seemed to work, but not for what i wanted it to, problem was the images i wanted to work with were far to big, the program froze up everytime i tried it, but in its defense, my images are humungous, over 100mb to be clear,

Not responding? I had big problems with a trial version of this program - when I chose the second image to compare, it freezed and I had to terminate it - I tried this on more different PCs, but the result was always the same.

It took to long... Brought it up for the first time. Loaded two pictures and the thing just sat there and churned on them. After awhile, I gave up..

Would have been Great But............ This software looks as though it would have been great, however, when I used it it failed to pick up changes in images even when they were deliberately done.It also froze my computer on numerous occasions.If these problems were delt with this would be a wunderful software achievement with nothing comming close to it.

Slow pro I found it to be very, very slow. I have a Netgear Router. My PC is hardwired and my laptop is wireless. My upload download speeds have been very high on both computers. The most frustrating slow pace is when it trys to "read" the directory of the laptop when run on the desktop. It takes 4 minutes to gather and display the directory tree of the laptop. Also, it takes as much as 45 minutes to do a comaparison of the two "my documents" direwctories.

CD crushes when comparing large tables CD would be excellent tool, but it crushes every time when comparing large tables with error message that there is no more space in memory storage. Is it a bug? Im working on 2GB RAM memory - thougt it should be sufficient.

This tool is awesome! I had a client with a recent partial database backup and 6 month old full database backup. I had all kinds of trouble merging the data together via DTS so I looked for a tool to compare tables and spit out the results...this tool is it! Easy to setup, relatively easy to use and it did exactly what I needed it to. This tool saved me HOURS of time and saved my client the extra fees!

Hard to use Hard to use and understand. Gave it 5 min, couldn't make it show all tables in my db.

I am very happy with the product. It worked as advertised. I did have issues comparing excel macro enabled worksheets but if I converted them to excel 97-2003 they worked fine. It would also be nice if there were a print option to print out a side by side compare.

Got the job done. Easily allowed me to efficiently compare simple VBA code in two Excel 2003 spreadsheets. Thanks!!!

Your software worked very well. This saved me many hours of manually comparing two database files. The only problem I had was that it didn't work comparing and Access 97 database with an Access 2003 database. This was easily resolved by upsizing the 97 dtabase to 2003.

While I've just downloaded this application and have not had an opportunity to use it extensively, it seems that it's use for me will be very limited.It seems to compare code that happens to be on exactly the same line number in the two files. If the executable code that it needs to compare is not on the same line, it seems that it will always find differences; even though the code might be exactly the same but appearing on different line numbers.This could be improved by allowing the code to be editted from within this application.The ...

Does not appear to work for VBA associated with Office 2007 programs.

I wanted to compare code in a project to itself - so this program didn't really work for me. I was looking to get a list of dependencies. I ended up doing it manually.Thanks anyway though for providing this service. Maybe I will be able to use it one day.

EXCEL compare. Had to run it to find out what it did, results were in a format that was as unusuable as the original file.

Review for Excel Compare 3.3.2 The output did not suit my needs with this application. I was looking more for an actual spreadsheet with the difference highlighted in each one and that was not what I received.

Not Bad The Idea is good but functionality is not good. Even selection window has lot of problem. Need to check all the functionalities. And report is not clear.

Data Warehouse I only tested the program with a small data set and I found the program running quite fast. However, I like to test it with a large data set to find out how it runs. I like to automate the process, so that I can schedule it to run every day. I need to find out a program that compares tables. I need to run more tests to be able to provide a better evaluation.

Could be much better I didn't find this particular software to be that useful. I was desiring a feature like Word's "Compare and Merge Documents," which this did not provide. I wanted to take two excel spreadsheets and output a third with redlined changes, not text telling me what was changed.
